ARK: Survival Evolved – Xbox One Version released – Informations

So now every Xbox One – Player can join the ARK – Experience thanks to the XBox Preview Program! The PS4-Version will be released in the Final-Version, Sony doesn´t have an Early Access Program.

Tame, hunt and just have a fun with lots of Dinos and other creatures – Don´t get eaten 😉

We already mentioned some features in our first article about the Xbox One – Version – now we can go into detail 🙂

If some important informations are missing please write them in the comments and we´ll add it as soon as possible.

The Xbox One Version is very similar to the PC-Version – Studio Wildcard did a great job adapting it to the Xbox One.

Two major changes are:

a different start menu
you access the tribe menu from your inventory

There are a lot of Official Server out there.

If you want to play with your friends, it is possible to host a 4-Player Server (this is NOT a dedicated server setup).

If you want to think larger than there is an option to host a Server for up to 70 players, but for this you have to turn a Xbox One into a dedicated Server. This Server has to stay online 24/7 to remain the map accessible to all the players – (I don´t think it would be a wise idea to play on the same Xbox on which this server is hosted – it will need all the power for the hosting (so you´ll need a second Xbox One))

Whenever you die you have two options – respawn or create new survivor – be careful not to delete your character!

Wild: Thylacoleo furtimorsus is a large, powerful marsupial that can often be found hunting around trees. Its long claws and semi-opposable digits make it an apt climber, a quality that Thylacoleo uses to its advantage while hunting. It clambers up trees and waits to ambush passing prey by pouncing upon them. When something that large jumps onto a target, it becomes stunned and doesn't stand much chance.
Domesticated: Thylacoleo is a moderately strong mount, and its ability to climb trees makes it useful for traversal such that developing tribes often tame it. Small raiding parties particularly favor Thylacoleo, as it is well suited to ambushes and unfair fights!
Known Information: Thylacoleo's most notable fighting quality is its powerful jaws. Once it bites its prey, it locks its jaw in an iron-strength grip that can hold most smaller creatures in place. Thylacoleo then goes on to savage its prey with its sharp claws. If it needs to escape a fight, Thylacoleo uses its muscular hind legs to jump back to safety among the trees.

Finally a new Patchnote – Patchnotes 227 will follow today

Fixed issue where ‘activated’ Structure state (campfires etc) could become desync’ed on Clients.
Also heavily optimized how Remote Procedure Calls are networked to increase server performance.

ARK: Survival Evolved for XBOX One – Early Access

Good News for all the console lovers out there –

ARK: Survival Evolved will open its gates to the XBox One on the date 16/12/15!

The Price will be 34.99$ (The purchase will grant also access to the final version in summer 2016!). The PS4-Version is still in development.

There won´t be as many updates as in the PC Version but they plan to keep the content on the same level (so you can expect one Update in 2 Weeks).It´s still unknown if there will be an option to play on private servers – we´ll keep you updatet 🙂

Wild: Megalania Muruspede is among the largest creatures found throughout the island’s complicated cave networks. Reaching up to three meters long, it can traverse vertically up the cave walls with little difficulty, using its claws as iron-strength grips. Fortunately, Megalania’s size means it is unlikely to sneak up on anyone. Unfortunately for spelunkers, it is an aggressive and dangerous creature nonetheless.

Domesticated: The extremely rare ability of Megalania to effortlessly climb walls makes it a highly sought after mount. While it is by no means the fastest, strongest, or toughest mount -- the way it can effortlessly climb in the caves and scale mountains means it will always have a place in any advanced tribe’s stables.

Known Information: Like other Varanidae, Megalania is a venomous creature.. Its poison is slow-acting, but will drain the victim’s effective strength and health until death unless cured by a rare antidote. That said, the Megalania’s prey are usually ripped apart well before they succumb to the poison’s long-term effects.

Industrial Forges can now craft up to 20 items of a type at once, however they can not be placed on Dino Platforms anymore.
Chief Hat & Turkey Mask now appear properly on Dinos
Doubled Rocket Damage Globally, and also against Dinos by an extra 100%
Exposed Custom Recipe Cooking Quality and Skill Scalars for Server Configuration. Increased Default Cooking Quality and Skill Scaling by a further 20% each.

Fixes & Improvements

Fixed a protential case where players could be disconnected due to exploding Rocket Launcher projectiles
Garbage Collector improvement to reduce game stalls/hitches (GC no longer forces an async flush which would result in a stall if any streaming operation was occuring).
Mods are now only installed/extracted while at the main menu, to avoid lowering in-game performance
