3b. If you already have another (or multiple) mods installed, you just need to add the mod ID (497086514) to your start script, separating mods with a comma. The mod furthest to the left will take priority. For example

"ModID=MOD#1,MOD#2".

Everything is installed; restart the server and you can use the command to summon the Eradicator. Feel free to leave feedback below.

Dino Dossier: Megatherium

Common Name: Megatherium
Species: Megatherium Formipavor
Time: Late Pleocene-Early Holocene
Diet: Omnivore, but primarily Herbivore
Temperament: Passive, but aggressive to insects
Domestication
Tameable: Yes
Rideable:  ?
  • Wild: Megatherium Formipavor is one of the larger mammals on the island. This is most shocking because it is essentially a giant sloth... if you crossbred it with an elephant and a bear! Because of its size and girth, the Megatherium is uncommonly resistant to being knocked unconscious.
  • Domesticated: Megatherium is an incredibly useful creature to tame, so long as you don't intend to fight other tribes. Its enormity, high resistance to torpor, and voracious attitude toward insects (and arachnids) makes it ideal for farming large quantities of chitin from the bugs of the island, or simply defending against them!
  • Known Information: Despite primarily being an herbivore, a typical Megatherium is very intent on consuming the island's many insects. It is particularly adept at removing their insides without damaging the shell, maximizing extraction of chitin. The otherwise slow and peaceful Megatherium becomes faster and more aggressive in the presence of these creatures.

Dino Dossier: Tusoteuthis

Common Name: Tusoteuthis
Species: Tusoteuthis Vampyrus
Time: Cretaceous
Diet: Carnivore
Temperament: Aggressive
Domestication
Tameable: Yes
Rideable: Unknown
  • Wild: Tusoteuthis Vampyrus is a very aggressive water predator. Approximately 30 feet long, Tusoteuthis is a terror of the deep. Once it grabs its prey, it slowly crushes it into submission while using the talons on its tentacles to siphon and drain the victim of blood!
  • Known Information: Tusoteuthis is a terrifying opponent for several reasons. Firstly, its grab slowly renders its victim unconscious, so death isn't the first concern. Secondly, its vampiric blood drain instantly revitalizes it even during combat. And finally, if Tusoteuthis is losing a fight, it sprays a cloud of ink into the water around it, blinding its attacker to cover a sneaky escape.
  • Domesticated: One of the major benefits of taming Tusoteuthis is harvesting its ink. Unlike normal ink, Tusoteuthis' ink is very oily, and can even be refined into fuels such as gasoline. Between that and Tusoteuthis' distinctive combat abilities, it makes for an excellent aquatic tame, despite its slow swimming speed.

Dino Dossier: Giganotosaurus

The Giganotosaurus will be a very big dinosaur, based on the indominus rex of Jurassic World. If you want to tame it in the future: start collecting narcotics, now. You will need them

Common Name: Giganotosaurus
Species: Giganotosaurus furiosa
Time: Late Cretaceous
Diet: Carnivore
Temperament: Angry
Domestication
Tameable: Yes
Rideable: Yes
  • Wild: Giganotosaurus furiosa is an enormous predator, larger even than the Tyrannosaurus or Spinosaurus. While greater in size than those storied predators, it can be somewhat less dangerous when encountered in the wild, due to its sluggish speed. Even still, getting cornered or run down by a Giganotosaurus means certain death for nearly any creature.
  • Domesticated: Taming Giganotosaurus is a dangerous prospect. Its rage reaction, even when tamed, can sometimes cause it to briefly turn on members of its own tribe. Indeed it may even throw off its rider if it has been sufficiently angered! And yet, the sheer size and immense power that the Giganotosaurus possesses means that some factions endeavor to tame it as a fear-inducing "capital" best of war -- even at great risk!
  • Known Information: Fighting a Giganotosaurus directly is never a good idea, as its rage rapidly grows with every hit it takes. With this rage, it builds increasing reserves of energy to use, making its iron-jawed bites progressively more deadly and enhancing its stamina. Add to this the fact that its huge body enables it to take a tremendous amount of punishment, and you have a creature that is generally better avoided or outsmarted than attacked head-on.

ARK: Survival Evolved Patch 196.0 – Patchnotes

These are the changes of ARK: Survival Evolved’s Patch 196.0, grouped into categories for clarity. If not otherwise indicated, they’re quoted from the relevant Steam Thread.

Dino Changes

  • Alpha predators damage vs Stone structures reduced by 80%
  • Alpha predators now tend to only appear inland / in mountainous regions
  • Alpha predators natural targeting range reduced, easier to deliberately avoid
  • Alpha predators now ALWAYS Survivor drop inventories when killed. (i.e. Carno and Rex)

Alpha Predator

Item Changes

  • Added “Re-Fertilizer” item craftable at the Compost Bin which can be used over ground to re-grow depleted foliage over time even if it’s close to structures (avoids the structure distance check, though wont’ regrow if it’s stuck ‘within’ a structure).

Server Changes

  • Added option to disable specific Alpha predators (“NPC Replacements”) on custom servers
  • Custom servers can now specify “ResourceNoReplenishRadiusStructures” & “ResourceNoReplenishRadiusPlayers” multipliers, if they wish to allow resources to regrow closer or farther away from players & structures.
  • Added adjustable “Tethering” distance for non-dedicated multiplayer sessions (maximum distance from Host player)
  • PvP servers have an optional +1 minute additonal respawn that doubles each time if you are killed by a team within 5 minutes of your previous death to that team (timer indicated on Spawn UI). Is enabled in pvp by default, and on all the official pvp servers. Helps prevent PvO ammo-wasting of auto turrets by repeatedly throwing sacrificial players at them.
  • Improved server perf, and fixed some server crash cases
  • Admin-Only-Access doors (and their doorframes) can no longer be demolished or Replaced by non-Admin tribe members regardless of Governance settings
  • Server INI’s option to switch from PvE to PvP mode at pre-specified in-game times OR a pre-specified real-world (server-side) times!

Fixes

  • Auto Turrets now target & shoot down enemy grenades AND rockets
(and any bullet weapon can shoot grenades & rockets to explode them now)
  • Replacing Structures doesn’t do obstruction checks anymore (no more failures to replace)

Unofficial “official server” forums

The idea here is simple: Instead of desperately trying to get your post seen on reddit or on Steam on a decentral place, wouldn’t it be better if there was a forum for every official server that the community playing on there could use to chat and exchange informations? That way no one needs to see posts that are not relevant for him or her, while anyone can find posts pertaining to a specific server easily. That’s why we’ve created the unofficial offical server forums.

We think that this will help to encourage community-building even on official servers, and (for example) give the server population a better chance to organize. Additionally, we’ve created a dynmap for each server, which is accessable from within the forum.

I saw that awesome ARK: Survival Evolved Cartoon “Dodo Death Squad” on Steam. This just reminded me of the first hours playing Ark. I hope you will like it. If you ask me it is hilarious.
